Guy Smith
Guy is a graduate chemical engineer with a Masters Degree from Michigan State.
Guy has extensive experience in vacuum furnaces and vacuum engineering with an emphasis on hot zone design. He has designed more than 15 different configurations of hot zones, has been responsible for the complete design of several vacuum furnaces and holds several patents on vacuum furnace equipment.
He also has extensive experience in electrochemistry, atomic emission and adsorption spectrometry, FTIR, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry and wet lab analytical chemistry. It's difficult to find a physics issue with which Guy doesn't have experience.
The Chemical Engineering expertise Guy brings to Thermal Dynamix is critical to our understanding of the chemistry involved in the atmosphere generation processes. Guy's expertise in the nitriding and sintering processes are also extremely valuable.
Extensive knowledge and experience on the molecular level of materials are invaluable in enabling us to provide extensive engineering expertise to our customers. We are very fortunate to have the level of education, training and expertise Guy brings to our organization.
