About Us
We, at Thermal Dynamix, take great pride in our work, our equipment and our record. We don't mass produce furnaces because there are so many others who do and do so well. Instead we design and build furnaces for specific processes and applications.
We also concentrate specifically on atmosphere generators; Ammonia Dissociators, Endothermic and Exothermic gas generators.
Because we stick to what we know, we build good stuff. TDI equipment is efficient, reliable, durable and cost effective (It's also good looking).
Thermal Dynamix atmosphere generators have their origins in the CalAlloy/Rolock designs of the 1950's. Rolock and CalAlloy units were pioneers in the design of atmosphere generators. Many Rolock atmosphere systems were supplied to furnace builders who sold them as their own. Beginning with those venerable designs we've made significant improvements resulting in unparalled economy of operation, durability and ease of maintenance. A number of furnace manufacturers provide Thermal Dynamix atmosphere generators when the requirements dictate the need for such equipment.
Our Atmosphere generators are now equipped with controls sophisticated enough so that the output gas flow is closely matched with the process demand. That means the system isn't sending gas up the flue. It's making only as much as is needed by the particular furnace or process being served by the generator. If the demand isn't there the system automatically adjusts the output. This, alone, is a tremendous improvement over the old style generators that produced gas at whatever rate they were designed for, sending all excess gas up the stack.
Our expertise in system design comes from over 126 years of collective experience of our engineers designing and building processing systems for the heat treating industry. We gained Additional and invaluable experience during our involvement in the incinerator industry back in the 1970's and '80's during the cognitive development of emission limits and process controls. Equipment designed by Thermal Dynamix personnel met or exceeded all emission standards of the day and most of that equipment continues to operate to the current standards of today.
We also build a very neat firing system designed to burn "alternative" fuels. Fuels other than oil, natural gas or coal. We call this our LoCAF System. LoCAF being an acronynm for Low Cost Alternative Fuel.
The Thermal Dynamix LoCAF System will produce heat for industrial process, process steam, space heating or domestic hot water, by burning stuff often thrown away; materials like scrap paper, sawdust, corn cobs, cloth or leather scrap. We've even designed a system to fire dried chicken manure. Our LoCAF system will even handle scrap rubber (tires) and plastics. The LoCAF system is automated, quiet, reliable and clean. It meets all federal and state emission requirements.
